Guess what is this object and win prizes!

Did your computer ever go dumb like this? Mine does sometimes. Perhaps it releases my creative juices and gives me this kind of an opportunity. Doesn’t that qualify as modern art? ok, at least digital art? No?!

These weed flowers last only a day. I was in search of a their name, I could not find it. But don’t they look so very innocent? Ever tried plucking them and smelling (or even tasting?) their cones? I used to do that as kid, in our school playground. I tell you, they smell wonderfully sweet. Try that the next time you see them.

They say, “Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining” which probably means ‘be hopeful because difficult times always lead to better days’. But really, does every cloud have a silver lining? At least this one had. I saw this amazing sight while I was loitering in my balcony just before twilight one evening.

The picture is a little grainy though. Shot it with the only camera I’ve yet, the SE w810i.

I could not help but capture this amazing phenomenon on photo. Water from the sea seems spilling on to the land, isn’t there just too much of it in the sea!? Well, I do not know what this phenomenon is called. Captured this one afternoon when I went to on a stroll on the Marina Beach, Chennai, India.

Marina Beach – 12KM stretch is seemingly the second longest beach in the world. What is more interesting about the beach is that the sandy walk-area between the road and water is as much as 500 meters (I was standing mid way when I shot the 1st photo) at a few locations.

Please enlighten us if you know why water spills over to land like this sometimes.

Doesn’t this one look as thought I was in there on a boat or something? Well I was of course in there, but only ankle deep, on one my best days at my favorite beach yet. It was sort of high tide and I’d wait for one of those big waves to start towards the shore to capture the picture.  Shot at the Tiruvanmayur beach, Chennai.

This was the Coimbatore airport. We’d to walk and board the plane just as we’d board a bus! What was more amazing at that small airport was the sight of planes move around. They land, park as close to the aerodrome as we can see in this picture, after boarding, they move forward, still closer to the aerodrome, take a turn and embark, take off. One can watch all of this sitting in the all glass waiting room.

I bought these small (size of a millet grain) colored balls when a roadside hawker wouldn’t let go. He asked me to put them in water and see ‘magic’. I never thought these would expand ten fold over night.Please enlighten if you know any technical details.

The jar was a gift from my gradma. It seems she got it as a gift some 60 years ago!

The sky looked like… I couldn’t express better. Despite the honking traffic on one of those busy roads in Secunderabad, I caught this sight on camera. While the image still lurks in my mind’s eye, that moment was when I felt I shoud have a better camera. Perhaps, I wasn’t able to capture what exactly my eyes could see, on photo. Did any one say, they’re going to gift me a camera?!!
